Denise C. Scott, MD
Dr. Scott joined the Pediatric Group in 1995 in a part-time
practice which she now shares with Dr. Kala Sigler. She attended
medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at
Galveston, and completed fellowships at both Children's Hospital of
Oklahoma and the National Institutes of Health. In addition to board
certification as a general pediatrician, Dr. Scott also holds board
certification as a pediatric endocrinologist. She lives in Edmond with
her husband, a pediatric ophthalmologist, and their three children.
Dr. Scott's office hours are:
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Practice Philosophy:
"I feel
that in Pediatrics, we largely practice preventive medicine. A
significant part of our job is to educate parents and help them learn
what is normal and what is not in their child. We are in it for
the long term, in both well child care and to support and aid [the
parents] in caring for their child. We are first and foremost
child advocates, and work hard to promote the health and well-being of
our patients."
